Sun Paper
Sun Paper is a fun and easy way to see how the sun can 'develop' paper.
For this assignment, students will place their composition in the sun and will watch how the sunlight “develops” their photograph by turning exposed areas blue and leaving covered areas white.
Students will use shape and line to help create a pleasing composition.
For this assignment, you will need to bring items to class with a variety of
textures, thickness and widths, such as:
-
buttons
-
fabric
-
feathers
-
flowers or leaves
Students will present their print in a class critique and will discuss how they arranged their found objects to create an interesting composition.
During the class critique, students will also describe how factors such as exposure time and brightness of the sun affected their final piece.
Reflection: Due September 26th
